The profiler text display has 3 panels, each showing a 10-minute averaged consensus wind speed and direction from one of the three JAWS wind profiling radars. Each panel displays the speed and direction of the winds at selected altitudes for a single wind profiler site. The winds shown are average values over the ten minute interval prior to the time indicated in the heading. The heights are measured in feet above the surface and the wind direction is given with respect to magnetic North. The wind speed is reported in knots. |
